How hard it is to realize that April 7, 2016 was the anniversary of Hubert’s death ten years ago.
One month after his private burial at the Chattanooga National Military Cemetery, with full honors, the memorial service at the Chattanooga Theatre Center brought fans and friends from near and far to say farewell to a great artist and a man’s man.
Our son, Randall, a film producer, highlighted the gathering with a video production of eighty images showing the professional and personal aspects of the honoree.
When I stood behind the podium to deliver my tribute to Hubert, I felt his presence on my left, comforting me with the warmth of his arm around me. I still vividly hold the memory of that solemn day in my heart. And from time to time, I reread the story I told of our years together. And I will now share it with a larger audience.
